THE STORY OF TRS

TRS was founded in 2022 by Bud Kuhn.

In 2018 he took at trip to a remote beach for surfing in Baja California, Mexico with some friends. A 10 hour drive south pass the San Diego boarder and 2 hours through the soft sand dunes of the north desert of Baja, led him & his friends to perfect surf and an amazing camp site.

 

Their car was not set up for this adventure and they ran into trouble. They popped a tire, killed their battery, and got the car stuck in the soft sand 100 times.

This is where his daydreams took off. He started following & researching Toyota 4x4s and quickly fell in the love with the hobby of Overlanding. In 2019 he bought his first Toyota 4Runner and the build began. Photos can be seen on  instagram @toughroadsupply.

Part after part after part was added or changed for both function & aesthetic. From there he notice certain parts just didn’t have that OEM quality or even exist. That is where TRS (Tough Road Supply) was born.

 

We founded TRS with one goal in mind: providing a high-quality, OEM style product. Our passion for excellence has driven us from the beginning, and continues to drive us into the future. TRS strives to bring OEM quality & fit with a custom twist to match every driver’s unique personality.
